According to the letter of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Ukraine has announced an open call for studying at higher education institutions in Slovakia. Within the programme, 8 scholarships are offered for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes, as well as 1 scholarship for a Doctoral (PhD) programme.

The programme is intended for applicants of Slovak origin living abroad, including those residing in Ukraine. The scholarship includes monthly financial support, one-time grants at the beginning and upon completion of studies, as well as partial coverage of accommodation and study-related expenses.

Applicants may choose from a wide range of study fields, including philology, education, information technologies, economics, medicine, engineering, and others.

Applications must be submitted online via the portal: www.vladnestipendia.sk, where detailed information, instructions, and application requirements are available. The application period is open from 23 March 2026 to 25 May 2026.

The selection of candidates is carried out by the selection committee of the Slovak Republic. An important requirement for participation is proficiency in the Slovak language or willingness to complete preparatory language training before the start of studies.
