COMPETITION FOR ELECTION OF MEMBERS OF THE SCIENTIFIC COUNCIL OF THE NATIONAL RESEARCH FOUNDATION OF UKRAINE

The Identification Committee of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine announces a competition for the election of members of the Scientific Council of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.

1. Identification Committee of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine (hereinafter – the Identification Committee) in accordance with Article 54 of the Law of Ukraine “On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activities”, Regulations on the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated July 4, 2018 No. 528, Regulations on the competition for the election of members of the Scientific Council of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine as amended by the decision of the Scientific Committee of the National Council of Ukraine for Science and Technology (Minutes No.1 of 27 May 2020), announces a competition for the election of members of the Scientific Council of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine (hereinafter – the Scientific Council), namely:

• 8 vacancies in the section of natural, technical sciences and mathematics;
• 5 vacancies in the section of biology, medicine and agricultural sciences;
• 4 vacancies in the section of social sciences and humanities.

Members of the Scientific Council are elected to the above vacancies for a term of 4 years, except for one vacancy in the section of natural, technical sciences and mathematics, which arose as a result of early termination of a member of the Scientific Council, within four years from the date of entry into force of the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated March 17, 2021 No. 213-r.

2. General provisions on the competition, including requirements for members of the Scientific Council, set out in the Regulations on the competition for the election of members of the Scientific Council of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, published simultaneously with this announcement on the official website of the Scientific Committee of the National Council of Ukraine for the Development of Science and Technology.

3. Candidates for membership in the Scientific Council have the right to nominate the following entities: National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, national branch academies of sciences, scientific institutions and institutions of higher education of all forms of ownership, public scientific organizations. Self-nomination of candidates for members of the Scientific Council is not allowed. The subjects of submission submit to the competition the following documents:

• 1) survey of the candidate;
• 2) an extract from the minutes of the meeting of the scientific (scientific-technical, technical) council (general meeting, statutory body, etc.) of the subject of the nomination of the candidate with justification of his / her compliance with the published qualification requirements for candidates scientific and technical activities that the candidate must represent in the relevant section of the Scientific Council; the extract must also contain the contact details (e-mail address, mobile phone) of the responsible person of the subject of the submission.
• 3) application of the candidate with consent to participate in the competition, addressed to the chairman of the Identification Committee;
• 4) consent of the candidate to the processing of personal data;
• 5) a copy of an identity document and confirming the citizenship of Ukraine;
• 6) copies of documents on higher education, on awarding a candidate of the highest scientific degree, the highest academic title;
• 7) a copy of the certificate from the main place of work of the candidate, indicating the position;
• 8) a copy of the document confirming the experience of scientific (scientific and pedagogical) work.

The application forms, candidate’s questionnaires, the candidate’s consent to the processing of personal data, as well as the requirements for the execution and submission of documents approved by the decision of the Identification Committee are contained in Annexes 1-4 to this Announcement.

The documents for the competition for the candidate are drawn up in Ukrainian and submitted electronically.

According to the decision of the Identification Committee, the candidate may be interviewed.

4. The deadline for submission of documents for participation in the competition is September 12, 2022. The start date of the competition is considered to be the date of publication of this announcement. The competition is considered to be over from the date of the decision of the Identification Committee to approve the results of the competitive selection of candidates for members of the Scientific Council.

The results of the competition will be published no later than five working days from the date of approval of the results of the competition on the official website of the Scientific Committee of the National Council of Ukraine for the Development of Science and Technology. The approximate date of publication of the results of the competition is September 30, 2022.

5. Documents in electronic form are sent by the subjects of submission to the e-mail of the Scientific Committee of the National Council of Ukraine for the Development of Science and Technology (e-mail: uasciencecops@gmail.com), no later than 23:59 on September 12, 2022.

In case of violation of these requirements, the documents are not accepted.
