The Rector of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University held a working meeting at the Lubny branch of the NGO “Defense of the State”

On March 3, 2026, an official working meeting of the rector of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Olena KARAMAN was held in the office of the Lubny branch of the NGO “Defense of the State” with the head Vitaliii HOLOVKO.

We would like to remind you that on October 10, 2025, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the university represented by the rector Olena Karaman and a separate unit of the NGO “Defense of the State” in the Poltava region represented by the head Petro Vorona. The concluded agreement laid the foundation for the implementation of joint educational, scientific and socio-patriotic initiatives.

During the meeting with the head of the Lubny branch Vitalii Yosypovych, the parties discussed further plans and areas of cooperation, identified priorities for the near future and outlined new opportunities for the development of partnership. Particular attention was paid to issues of supporting the veteran community, implementing educational activities, and involving student youth in civic initiatives.

Vitalii Holovko presented the rector with a photo gallery located in the organization’s office, which reflects the year of fruitful activity of the center, participation in patriotic events, volunteer projects, and civic initiatives.

Olena Leonidivna emphasized:

“The cooperation of the university with the Lubny center is not just a formal step, but a real mechanism for strengthening social responsibility, forming an active civic position of youth, and supporting those who defend the state. We value the partnership with the NGO “Defense of the State” and are committed to its further strengthening and development.”

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to strengthen cooperation, expand areas of interaction, and implement new joint projects for the benefit of the community and Ukraine.

The partnership between the university and the public sector continues to develop, uniting education, science and civic activism for a common goal – a strong and independent state.
