Open Lecture by Ovidiu Gavrilovici

On November 25, 2025, an open lecture by Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași Ovidiu Gavrilovici was held at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

The speaker presented a report on the current topic: “Some aspects of working with trauma through narrative therapy”, within which he revealed the principles, key techniques and modern approaches of Narrative Therapy in working with traumatic experiences, crisis events and restoring identity through life history.

The lecture was attended and actively interacted by students of the first (bachelor’s), second (master’s) and third (educational and scientific) levels of higher education in specialties I10 “Social work and counseling” and 231 “Social work” of the educational programs “Social work and counseling. Psychosocial services”; “Social work. Social pedagogy. Practical psychology” and “Social work”.

The participants received valuable knowledge about international practices of narrative work with trauma, the possibilities of adapting these tools to the activities of Ukrainian educational institutions and the sphere of psychosocial support.

The event was held online on the Zoom platform, which provided open access to international academic expertise and contributed to expanding the boundaries of professional communication.
