“Involving the Public of Eastern Ukraine in the Restoration of Their Communities: Moving Forward”

Kateryna Kotelenets, Candidate of Social Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy and Sociology, Guarantor of the Educational Program “Sociology” spoke at the event “Involving the Public of Eastern Ukraine in the Restoration of Their Communities: Moving Forward.”

Kateryna presented the results of a study on the interaction of regional authorities with representatives of civil society and presented successful cases of such interaction on the example of work in communities of Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

The event brought together representatives of authorities, communities and public associations of Luhansk and Donetsk regions. The participants of the discussion exchanged their vision and practical experience. The event was organized by the NGO “Public Initiative of Luhansk Oblast” within the framework of the project “Involving the Public of Eastern Ukraine in the Restoration of Their Communities: Phase II”, which is supported by the Renaissance Foundation. The project is implemented by the NGO “Public Initiative of Luhansk Region” in cooperation with the NGO “Association for Promoting Self-Organization of the Population”, the NGO “Center for Political and Legal Reforms” and the NGO “Association “Renaissance and Development”.
