Bronze Medal and European Record from Athletes of the ER IHCS!

Athletes of the Institute of Health Care and Sports worthily represented Ukraine at the European Weightlifting Championships among juniors and youth, which is taking place in Albania.
Athletes from the Educational and Research Institute of Health Care and Sports of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University worthily represented Ukraine at the European Weightlifting Championship among juniors and youth, which is taking place in Albania.
Hanna Kalashnyk, a 3rd year student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sports”, in the weight category over 86 kg (among juniors under 20 years old) won:
- bronze medal in the clean and jerk (127 kg);
- bronze in the combined total (225 kg);
- 5th place in the snatch (98 kg).
In addition, Hanna set a new European record among juniors under 20 years old in the clean and jerk — 127 kg!
Mark Levanzov, a 1st year master’s student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sports” (weight category up to 71 kg, among youth up to 23 years old), showed a brilliant result:
- 5th place in the snatch (130 kg),
- 4th place in the clean and jerk (170 kg)
- and 4th place in the total weightlifting (300 kg).
The athletes are trained by the Selivanov family – Konstantin and Marichka, who invest in their students not only knowledge and experience, but also a true love of sports.
