Participation in KPMG Global Cyber Day 2025
24.10.2025
On October 23, students and teachers of the Starobilsk Professional College of LTSNU joined the international educational event KPMG Global Cyber Day.
The KPMG Global Cyber Day educational event was held as part of the International Cybersecurity Awareness Month. The event was initiated by KPMG in Ukraine with the support of the State Education Quality Service of Ukraine.
During the event, participants learned about the importance of protecting personal data, properly setting privacy settings on social networks, and safe behavior on the Internet. Special attention was paid to creating strong passwords, using two-factor authentication, and rules that help avoid fraud, cyberbullying, and unsafe communication in online games and social networks.
Modern cyber threats related to artificial intelligence, the spread of fake news, and information manipulation were also discussed. An important part of the meeting was a conversation about the recruitment of children and adolescents into illegal activities or even participation in war crimes via the Internet. Experts explained how to recognize such risks, how to properly respond to suspicious messages or behavior online, and who to turn to for help.
In addition, they talked about digital well-being, the importance of maintaining a balance between virtual space and real life, the culture of responsible use of gadgets, and the prevention of digital addiction.
Participation in KPMG Global Cyber Day contributed to improving the digital literacy of students and teachers, formed a conscious attitude towards information security, and supported the creation of a modern, safe educational digital environment in our college.
