Guest Lecture

A guest lecture was held at the Educational and Research Institute of Public Administration and Postgraduate Education. 

On 07.10.2025, a guest lecture on the topic “Pharmacist as a subject of public health management of the community: a new role in the health care system” was held at the Department of Public Service and Management of Educational Institutions of LTSNU for 1st year students of the second (master’s) level of higher education in the specialty D4 “Public Management and Administration” of the educational program “Territorial Administration and Local Self-Government” within the framework of the mandatory educational component “Psychological Aspects of Public Administration”.

The speaker of the event was Anzhela Olkhovska, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor of the Department of General Pharmacy of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” (Kharkiv).

The moderator of the event was Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Yevhen Ivanov.

During the lecture, Professor Olkhovska revealed the issue of transforming the role of a pharmacist in modern society, in particular as an active participant in public administration processes in the field of health care. During the event, attention was focused on the importance of developing partnerships between medical and administrative structures, as well as on the psychological aspects of pharmacist communication with the community and patients.

Students had the opportunity to ask questions, share their own thoughts on improving the efficiency of public health management, and discuss current trends in the integration of the pharmaceutical sector into the public administration system.

The event contributed to the formation of an interdisciplinary vision of the role of specialists in the field of health care and a deeper understanding of the relationship between the psychological, social, and administrative aspects of professional activity.
