Participation of Student Self-Government in the Ukrainian Education Quality Forum

On September 17–18, the Ukrainian Education Quality Forum (UQAF-2025) was held in the city of Lutsk.

The Forum was organized by the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance on the basis of Lutsk National Technical University.

Representatives of the student self-government, Valeria Ilnytska and Viktoria Makarenko, participated in the Forum, who joined the discussions and trainings, and also presented our university to colleagues from various higher education institutions of Ukraine.

The Forum program included:

• panel discussions dedicated to European trends in the field of quality assurance of higher education, the introduction of institutional accreditation in Ukraine, the revival of technological education as a result of cooperation between the state, employers and higher education institutions, the development of new generation standards and the role of student organizations in the quality assurance system;
• presentations and discussions of successful cases of higher education institutions;
• trainings and workshops aimed at topical issues of quality assurance and the formation of a culture of academic integrity;
• poster session with a demonstration of educational programs that received accreditation with the distinction of “exemplary” in the 2024/2025 academic year.

Thanks to active participation in the Forum, students gained valuable knowledge and practical skills, in particular in the field of developing a quality assurance system, the role of student organizations in this process, as well as in issues of academic integrity. This experience will become the basis for further work at the university and will contribute to the development of a quality student environment.

We express our sincere gratitude to the organizers of the Forum for a meaningful program, the opportunity to join important discussions and exchange experiences with representatives of various educational institutions. Such initiatives form a common space for the development of high-quality, modern and responsible higher education in Ukraine.
