Interuniversity Meeting at the School of Academic Integrity

On September 22, an introductory meeting with the School of Academic Integrity was held for students and scientific and pedagogical workers of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology.

The event was also attended by students and teachers from the Volodymyr Hnatiuk Ternopil National Pedagogical University and the Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University.

The speakers were Oksana Shevchik, Head of the School of Academic Integrity, and Kateryna Kovalenko, Assistant Professor of the Primary Education Department, who is working on a dissertation on the problem of academic integrity.

More than a hundred participants took part in the event. The main attention during the thematic meeting was focused on the fundamental values ​​of academic integrity: honesty, trust, justice, respect, responsibility, courage. The principles of academic integrity were analyzed, as well as responsibility for their violation. Manifestations of academic dishonesty were considered in detail. The issues of copyright and measures to comply with it were discussed separately. The participants took an active part in a lively discussion of various types of violations of academic integrity based on examples and specific situations. At the end of the session, effective strategies for preventing plagiarism were discussed and questions from participants were answered.

After the event, all participants will receive certificates of training in the Academic Integrity Center.
