FULBRIGHT VISITING SCHOLAR PROGRAM

The Institute of International Education (IIE) Representative Office in Ukraine reminds about the annual Fulbright competitions for scholars for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Applications for the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program are accepted until 15 October. The program provides opportunities to conduct research in U.S. universities, research centers, libraries, museums, archives, and other institutions for a period of three to nine months.

Eligible applicants include university faculty and researchers holding a Candidate of Sciences or Doctor of Sciences degree, as well as researchers without a degree, cultural and arts professionals, library and museum specialists, journalists, and public figures with a completed higher education, at least ten years of research experience, and recognized academic authority in their field.

Young faculty and scholars may apply for the Fulbright Research and Development Program until 1 November 2025 to conduct research in U.S. universities for six to nine months.

This competition is open to applicants under the age of 45 with at least two years of professional experience: faculty members; postgraduate students and researchers without a scientific degree; Candidates of Sciences; higher education administrators; staff of research institutions; journalists; library, museum, and archive specialists; cultural management professionals; and employees of non-governmental organizations.
