Meeting of the Specialized Academic Council

On August 22, a meeting of the one-time specialized academic council (ID 9911) was held at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

The dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy of Yelyzaveta Shkarupa in the specialty 015 – Professional Education (by specializations) on the topic: “Professional training of future educators for the organization of group work in preschool education institutions” was submitted for consideration and defense.

The scientific advisor was Svitlana Bader, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Early and Preschool Child Development, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”. 

The council was headed by Yaroslava Yurkiv, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Professor of the Social Pedagogy Department, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

The invited opponents were – Olha Lobova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Professor of the Department of Preschool and Primary Education, Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A. S. Makarenko; Ivanchuk Sabina Aydynivna, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Pedagogy, Preschool and Special Education of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University.

The reviewers were Maria Pochinkova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Professor of the Department of Primary Education of LTSNU; Iryna Hrechyshkina, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Early and Preschool Child Development of LTSNU. 

The dissertation aroused sincere interest and lively discussion among the members of the specialized academic council. In their speeches, the scientists emphasized that the research is characterized by a high level of scientific novelty, thoroughness of analysis and practical orientation.

The proposed pedagogical conditions that ensure the effectiveness of such training; methodological materials developed by the author were especially positively assessed. The members of the council emphasized that the work has a significant contribution to the development of the theory and practice of preschool education. It contributes to the formation of a new generation of educators who are able to organize group work as an important tool for the development of children’s individual abilities.

The defense took place in a friendly atmosphere of constructive scientific dialogue. By the decision of the Specialized Academic Council and the results of an open vote of the council members, the candidate was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.
