Representatives of LTSNU are Among the Strongest at the 1st Ukrainian Championship “MilitaryPro”

Representatives of our university successfully performed at the 1st Ukrainian Championship “MilitaryPro”.
On August 10, the first Ukrainian championship “MilitaryPro” was held in Kyiv. It was a large-scale physical culture and health-improving event in heroic all-around among war veterans, active military personnel and representatives of law enforcement agencies.
The competition was organized by the Federation of the Strongest Athletes of Ukraine and Tug of War with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and the State Enterprise “Agency of Mass Sports of Ukraine”.
Our university was represented by teachers and students of the Educational and Research Institute of Health Care and Sports:
Olexander Dubovoi – Director of the ER IHCS, Volodymyr Dubovoi, Volodymyr Dubovoi (junior), Valerii Hazaiev, Dariia Sipakova, Oleksandr Luzhbin, and Maksym Andreiev.
More than 50 athletes from all regions of Ukraine took part in the competition, including representatives of adaptive sports. They tested themselves in three categories:
- Military – amateurs
- Military – professionals
- Veterans / adaptive athletes
Athletes demonstrated strength and endurance in classic exercises of heroic all-around: ArmOverArm, Farmer’s Walk, SuperYoke, FrontHold, and Heroic Pull.
The absolute championship was won by the teacher and graduates of LTSNU:
- Valerii HAZAIEV – 1st place
- Dmytro IHOLKIN – 2nd place
- Volodymyr SAVOSTIANOV – 3rd place
In the nomination “Military – amateurs” the winners were the master’s students of the ER IHCS Oleksii Diachkin, Serhii Bohdan and a bachelor’s student Ihor Luhanskyi. All of them train under the guidance of an international-class master of sports, three-time European champion, three-time world champion in team competition, Ukrainian and world record holder, candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor Oleksandr DUBOVOI.
The referees of the competitions are our DUBOVI brothers: Oleksandr and Volodymyr.
Special thanks for their active contribution to the development of heroic all-around and support for the rehabilitation of veterans were received by Oleksandr Dubovoi and Volodymyr Savostianov.
Such competitions not only popularize sports, but also help veterans and people with disabilities restore physical functions, increase self-esteem, strengthen muscles, improve coordination, endurance and psychological state.
Remember: sports reduce stress levels, improve mood and increase self-confidence!
