GOVERNMENT OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE 2026-2027 ACADEMIC YEAR

As part of its foreign development assistance, the Czech Republic offers government scholarships for Master’s or Doctoral degree studies at higher education institutions in the country.
Applicants from Ukraine are invited to apply in the following priority fields:
- Technical disciplines (energy, mechanical engineering, manufacturing and processing, transport)
- Mathematics and statistics
- Computer science
- Cybersecurity
- Economics and finance
- Chemistry
- Agriculture
- Environmental studies
Scholarships are available for study programmes taught in Czech or English.
Before starting a degree programme in Czech at a university, prospective students may receive a scholarship to attend a one-year preparatory course at the Institute of Language and Preparatory Studies of Charles University.
For the 2026/2027 academic year, a total of 22 scholarship places are available for applicants from Ukraine – 12 in programmes taught in Czech and 10 in programmes taught in English.
The scholarship covers tuition fees as well as basic living expenses in the Czech Republic. Currently, the monthly stipend amounts to CZK 16,000 for Master’s students and CZK 17,000 for Doctoral students. Accommodation, meals, and public transportation costs must be covered by the scholarship holders from the stipend provided.
