Dear soldiers of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine!

On behalf of the many-thousand-strong community of  Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, we sincerely congratulate you on the Day of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which from now on, in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 346/2025, will be celebrated annually on May 27 – the day of the memorable and heroic operation to liberate the new terminal of the Donetsk airport in 2014.

This date is a symbol of courage, self-sacrifice, loyalty to the oath and the indomitable spirit of the Ukrainian soldier. It is thanks to your actions, determination and high professionalism that today Ukraine holds the line, defends its sovereignty and confidently steps towards victory.

Special operations forces are the elite of the army, they are those who act where others cannot. You are the pride of our state, an example of service to Ukraine, an example for the younger generations.

We deeply respect your devotion and strength of spirit. We wish you good health, reliable rear, victories on all fronts and a happy peaceful future.
