Students of the Institute of Philology and Journalism took part in the conference’s sectional sessions.

The State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” has for several years been a co-organizer of this influential international platform for dialogue among philologists and translators. The conference brought together scholars, educators, students, and practitioners to discuss new approaches and research in the field of intercultural communication. The event was held in a hybrid format, allowing participants from different regions of Ukraine and around the world to join both in-person and online.

The conference program included sections dedicated to theoretical aspects of intercultural communication; linguistic and sociocultural factors in cultural interaction; the role of language in developing intercultural competence; issues of translation in intercultural contexts; psycholinguistic aspects of intercultural communication; and the use of innovative technologies in teaching Ukrainian and foreign languages.

Prof. N.L. Yuhan delivered a presentation titled “The Transformation of Perceptions of Fascism in Contemporary Ukrainian Drama.” Second-year PhD students of the Department of Literary Studies, Oriental Philology, and Translation, specializing in Philology (B11), presented the following papers: S.I. Hladilin: “Dialogue Between Ukrainian and European Cultures in the Artistic Conceptual Sphere of Borys Antonenko-Davydovych” (Scientific advisor: Doctor of Philology, Prof. V.I. Dmytrenko), D.V. Molchanets: “Reinterpreting the Female Role: From Protest to Deconstruction in Contemporary German Women Playwrights” (Scientific advisor: Doctor of Philology, Prof. N.L. Yuhan), O.V. Molchanets: “Stylistic Mosaic of Postmodern Drama: Irony, Intertextuality, and Play in the Works of German Playwrights” (Scientific advisor: Doctor of Philology, Prof. N.L. Yuhan), M.V. Tkachenko: “Trauma, the Subconscious, and the Self: Psychoanalytic Motifs in Contemporary German Drama” (Scientific advisor: Doctor of Philology, Prof. N.L. Yuhan).

The conference served as a platform for productive discussions, knowledge exchange, and idea sharing among researchers and practitioners. Participants had the opportunity to present their studies, discuss challenges and prospects of intercultural communication in the modern world, and establish new academic connections. Among the presentations, special attention was given to studies addressing the challenges of translating culturally specific texts, methods for teaching intercultural communication in educational institutions, and innovative technologies fostering intercultural understanding.
