Meeting of Guarantors and Students Majoring in Secondary Education (History and Civics)

On May 2, the traditional meeting of guarantors of educational programs of the Secondary Education (History / History and Civics) with students took place.

Such events have become a good practice at the Department of History and Archaeology, as they allow for an open dialogue to discuss current issues of the educational process, express one’s own opinions, and receive professional clarifications.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to discussing the results of student surveys conducted during the current semester by the department and the Department of Quality Management of Educational Activities. The guarantors shared how the survey results were taken into account during the next update of educational programs: which proposals were implemented and which could not be taken into account this time – with an explanation of the reasons. They thanked the students for their activity and the feedback provided, emphasizing its importance for the development of the educational environment at the university.

A separate topic of the meeting was the procedure for choosing free choice disciplines. The guarantors spoke in detail about the peculiarities of organizing this process: what requirements are provided, what restrictions should be taken into account, and what opportunities the choice of an individual educational trajectory opens up. Students were able to ask questions about specific situations and received comprehensive answers.

The event was held in a constructive atmosphere of mutual respect and interest. Such meetings not only deepen the understanding of students’ needs, but also form a responsible academic environment where everyone’s opinion counts.
