The Pedagogy Department held a methodological webinar “Evidence-Based Approach in Educational Practice and Scientific and Pedagogical Research”.
As part of the Science Days on April 29, the Pedagogy Department held a methodological webinar “Evidence-based approach in educational practice and scientific and pedagogical research” for master’s and postgraduate students majoring in A1 Educational Sciences and teachers.
During the webinar, the issues of the relevance of the evidence-based approach in education in the context of the problems of modern educational policy, pedagogical practice and scientific and pedagogical research were discussed. Discussion positions were presented on the concepts of “evidence-based education”, “evidence-based pedagogy”, approaches of modern foreign researchers to the essence of the evidence-based approach in education, the ideas of J. Hattie and R. Marzano on the influence of various pedagogical innovations, methods of organizing the educational process on educational results were highlighted.
Special attention was paid to registers of practices with proven effectiveness, ways of implementing the evidence-based approach in the pedagogical activities of modern teachers and lecturers, criteria of evidence in pedagogical research.
The following people took part in the discussion of the webinar issues: Director of the ER IPP, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor M.A. Yepikhina; Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Psychology Department N.V. Repkina, and postgraduate students of the Pedagogy Department.
The webinar materials will be useful for master’s and postgraduate students, teachers when conducting scientific research, ensuring successful educational activities based on evidence-based pedagogical practices.
