A guest lecture was held at the Educational and Research Institute of Philology and Journalism for students majoring in “Secondary Education. Ukrainian Language and Literature.”

On April 25, the Department of the Ukrainian Language of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology and Journalism initiated a guest lecture.

The invited guest, Tetiana Tyshchenko, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, Professor of the Department of the Ukrainian Language and Methods of Its Teaching at the Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, gave a lecture on the topic: “Innovative Research Methods in the Field of Dialectology and Linguogeography”.

The event was held on the Google Meet platform, which made it possible to unite everyone who is interested in the development of modern dialectological science.

Those present had the opportunity to learn about the linguogeographic achievements of leading Ukrainian dialectologists, including representatives of the Luhansk dialectological school, about dialectological research using social networks and artificial intelligence.

The lecturer compared different research methods, analyzed their effectiveness for the reliability of the results obtained, ease of use, suitability for use by higher education students.

The problem raised in the lecture caused a lively discussion in the audience, reflections on the practical use of the proposed research methods in the professional training of future teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature.

The meeting took place in a warm atmosphere of cooperation and scientific discussion. The listeners thanked for the interesting and informative lecture and expressed hope for the continuation of joint projects in the field of dialectology and linguogeography.
