International Secretary’s Day at the IBM

The history and traditions of celebrating International Secretary’s Day were told at the ER IBM.

Every year on the last Wednesday of April, the world celebrates International Secretary’s Day. This year it falls on April 23 and honors the activities of workers who ensure the smooth operation of offices and organizations.

This holiday originated in the USA in the middle of the 20th century. During World War II, the United States of America lacked professional office workers. In this regard, in 1942, the National Association of Secretaries was created, thanks to which people had the opportunity to gain new knowledge in the field of administration. After some time, National Secretaries Week was established, on Wednesday of which the Day of these specialists was celebrated. Over time, this holiday received international recognition, so today it is celebrated in dozens of countries around the world, including Ukraine.

At the online event, Viktoriia VIUHINA, secretary of the institute’s directorate and a 3rd-year student of the educational program “Information, Library and Archival Affairs”, presented information about the history, traditions of celebrating International Secretary’s Day and interesting facts about the profession.

The staff and students of the Educational and Research Institute of Business and Management sincerely congratulate Viktoriia VIUHINA on her professional holiday!

We wish that work will be easy, management will be fair, and every working day will be full of warmth and gratitude.

May not a single document disappear, each meeting will go according to plan, and only pleasant letters will be waiting in the mail.

Remain the same organized, attentive and sincere person. Happy holiday!
