Meeting of the Section “Agricultural Sciences and Food: Traditions, Problems and Prospects”

On April 24, as part of the international conference “Days of Science 2025” at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences, a meeting of the section “Agricultural Sciences and Food: Traditions, Problems and Prospects” was held.
The section meeting was attended by students and teachers of the departments of the Educational and Research Institute of Natural and Agrarian Sciences, as well as representatives of research institutions and universities of Ukraine and abroad, in particular – the Ustymov Research Station of Plant Growing of the Institute of Natural and Agrarian Sciences of the Academy of In particular, the report of K.S. Berezenko, a lecturer at the Department of Lanscape Gardening and Ecology, was about the diversity of labiate plants in adaptive landscaping.
I.S. Kravets, Head of the Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology, spoke about the condition of hedges in the city of Uman and analyzed the factors affecting the well-being of plants, as well as recommendations for care.
S.I. Skakovsky, a lecturer of the Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology, spoke about the possibilities of modifying the urban environment by means of tactical urbanism.
Glotov S.V., a lecturer at the Department of Horticulture and Ecology, spoke about the methods of entomological research in the territories of the nature reserve fund of Ukraine.
A. V. Kokhan, Associate Professor of the Department of Biology and Agronomy, spoke about significant climate change and its impact on the current state of agriculture in Ukraine and the prospects for its development, and analyzed climate indicators over the past 140 years.
In addition, the issues discussed at the section meeting were devoted to modern problems of land use, the use of digital technologies in the agricultural sector, the impact of climate change on crop cultivation technologies, etc.
