Record of Ukraine in the Category “Sports”

On April 15, in Kyiv, within the international forum “Sports Dialogue: Ukraine and the World”, an extraordinary event took place – the establishment of the Record of Ukraine in the category “Sports”.

“Over 100 world and European champions in various sports gathered in one place.” This grandiose initiative was joined by teachers of the Department of Olympic and Professional Sports of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University: Iryna Yanovych, Viktoria Tereshchuk, Viktor Ostretsov and Valerii Hazaiev, who are also well-known athletes and mentors. Their participation confirmed the university’s significant contribution to the development of domestic and international sports.

During the record-breaking event, 108 world and European champions gathered in one place — both online and offline, which became an unprecedented event in the country’s sports history.

The record-breaking gathering was also joined by our students majoring in “Physical Culture and Sports”, world champions Volodymyr Rysiev and Nataliia Oliinyk, who joined the event online.

The official registration of the record was carried out by representatives of the Book of World Records, which gave the event international significance.

This recognition is another confirmation that Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University is not only an educational, but also a sports center of national scale, which adequately forms a generation of leaders, champions and patriots.
