Museum Practice for Students

Students of the Institute of Arts restored dioramas at the Local History Museum.

Important adventures often begin in early spring! We consider the joint work of students and teachers of the Institute of Arts of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University to be such an adventure. During the museum internship, young masters, third-year students of the Department of Fine and Decorative Arts, visually studied restoration techniques and samples of exhibition painting.

From March 3 to 30, students under the guidance of internship curators Nazar Maistruk and Artur Aroian, carried out restoration and conservation work on four dioramas located in the halls of the scientific and exhibition department of nature: “Fishing Collective Farm “Pryboy””, “Underwater World”, “Malopereshchepinske Bolot” and “Harvest” (all from 1962). This work enriched the experience of young specialists and involved them in our museum work. We sincerely thank our colleagues for this adventure!

Everyone will be able to see the results after the completion of the repair and restoration work and the return of the museum to its usual format of work.
