25th Anniversary of the Institute of Arts
25.3.2025
On March 20, the Educational and Research Institute of Arts of LTSNU solemnly celebrated its twenty-fifth anniversary at the Poltava Regional Philharmonic.
A large-scale concert was held, as well as an exhibition of works by the Department of Fine and Decorative Arts and the Design Department.
Paintings and ceramics became the basis of the exhibition, which was held in the lobby of the Philharmonic. These are educational, bachelor’s and master’s works of students of different years. They were admired to the musical accompaniment of the Al Dente student brass ensemble.
The concert itself had two parts. The first was a theatrical production about the history of the formation of the institute: from the 1960s, when it was created as a music and pedagogical faculty, to the present day. The topic of the two stages of the institute’s relocation was especially heard: from its native Luhansk to Poltava in 2014 and the final relocation of the entire university to the Poltava region after the full-scale invasion of 2022.
The performers in this performance were graduates of the Department of Musical Art and Choreography and the Design Department, and the preparation was carried out by the Deputy Director of the Institute for Social and Humanitarian Work, Alena Tereshchenko, and the lecturer of the Department of Audiovisual Art, Olha Cherniavska.
The second part is a traditional performance of musical and choreographic numbers: solo vocal works, a performance by a mixed choir, instrumental works, and dance performances. The organization of the academic concert was handled by the Head of the Department of Musical Art and Choreography, Eduard Golovashych.
At the end of the event, this year’s graduates were awarded master’s diplomas.
Students of the Department of Audiovisual Art prepared a television story from the scene and a recording of the live concert.
All participants of the event received positive feedback from the audience, especially regarding the first theatrical part.
