Connection of Generations

“Connection of Generations” is a solemn meeting with veterans of pedagogical work.

On the eve of the celebration of the 104th anniversary of the founding of our glorious university, a solemn meeting “Connection of Generations” was held with veterans of pedagogical work. The event brought together teachers and students of all structural divisions of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, which are located in Poltava, Myrhorod, Lubny, Chornomorsk, and Dolyna. The meeting was moderated by the Deputy Director for Social and Humanitarian Work of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology.

At the beginning of the meeting, those present recalled some pages of the university’s history: evacuations in 2014 and 2022; huge material losses, as buildings in the cities of Luhansk, Rovenky, Kadiivka (Stakhanov), Shchastia, Alushta were occupied; in Rubizhne, Kreminna, Lysychansk were completely destroyed. The HEI managed to survive, restore the educational process and preserve the university’s teaching staff.

The host of the meeting emphasized that the achievements of the university were made possible thanks to the many years of selfless work of the labor collective, including its veterans – professors, associate professors, teachers, other employees, who, sparing no effort and health for the sake of what has become their life’s work, have made and are making many efforts to ensure the vital activity of the university.

Volodymyr Moroz, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the University’s Trade Union Organization, greeted the university community. He noted that the main wealth of the university is people who have survived the difficult conditions of evacuation, are holding on with dignity, moving forward, doing everything possible to preserve the reputation and traditions of their native Alma Mater.

In sorrow and with great gratitude, they remembered those who had passed away. Those present honored the memory of dear people who worked in various structural units with a minute of silence.

At the end of the meeting, those present expressed deep respect for the tireless veteran teachers. Your work is wise and noble, because you are remembered by graduates of different generations and young teachers of our institution. The connection of generations continues, it is a route to the future of our native Alma Mater!
