Veteran Development Center at LTSNU

In October 2024, the Veteran Development Center was opened at LTSNU – a space for support, training and social adaptation for veterans and defenders of Ukraine.
The Center’s Purpose
The Center was created to assist veterans, military personnel, their families, and anyone who needs support in the process of returning to civilian life. Its main goal is to promote social adaptation, psychological rehabilitation, and professional development of veterans, and to help them realize their potential in peaceful life.
Opportunities and areas of activity
Educational programs and retraining – an opportunity to gain new knowledge, study, or continue their studies at the university.
Professional orientation – training, retraining, and advanced training of war veterans and their family members.
Physical education and health activities with war veterans and their family members.
Psychological support – specialist consultations, trainings, and activities aimed at overcoming post-traumatic consequences.
Career growth – assistance in employment, cooperation with employers, and organization of job fairs.
Public and social activities – involving veterans in active participation in community life, volunteer projects and initiatives, social support for veterans and their family members.
Each area of the Center’s activity has its own location. A separate location – a sensory room – is provided for children of war veterans.
The Veteran Development Center opens up new opportunities for war veterans and their family members of Luhansk and Poltava regions. The Center for Veteran Development is a free space for communication and meaningful leisure activities for defenders.
The Veteran Development Center at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University is not just a place of support, but a real center of change that will help our defenders build a future after the war.
