Final Certification at the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology

The final certification took place at the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology of the Educational and Research Institute of Philology and Journalism.
In the period from 20 to 22 January 2025, at the Educational and Research Institute of Philology and Journalism, applicants for the second (master’s) level of higher education in the following educational programs: 014 Secondary Education ‘Language and Foreign Literature (English),’ ‘Language and Foreign Literature (German)’; 035 Philology ‘Germanic Languages and Literature (Translation Included), First – English,’ ‘Germanic Languages and Literature (Translation Included), First – German,’ ‘Romance Languages and Literatures (Translation Included), First – French’ of full-time and part-time forms of study successfully passed the final certification, which consisted of comprehensive professional testing and defense of qualification works.
The chairman of the examination committee was Yanina Tagiltseva, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor of Germanic and Ukrainian Philology at Poltava State Agrarian University.
Reviewers of the study programs were invited to the final assessment: Volodymyr Krasnopolskyi, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Professor of the Department of Language Training (Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs), and Tetiana Huliak, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of English Philology, Deputy Dean of the School of Foreign Languages for Research (Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University), who noted the effectiveness of the educational programs of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology in meeting the modern requirements of the labor market.
The stakeholders of the announced study programs attended the event. Danylchuk Vsevolod Volodymyrovych, English teacher at the Municipal Institution of General Secondary Education ‘Lyceum No. 13 of Khmelnytskyi City Council’, emphasized the quality of training of future foreign language teachers. The administration of the Kreminna Lyceum No. 5 of the Kreminna City Council of the Luhansk Region, represented by Tamara Umanska, Deputy Director, participant in the Teacher of the Year 2025 competition in the Foreign Literature nomination, Frontline Teacher at the GLOBAL TEACHER PRIZE UKRAINE-2021 National Award, supervisor of the language and literature sector, who stressed the importance of high-quality training of teachers of foreign languages and foreign literature for the educational reconstruction of her native Luhansk region. Andrenko Iryna Oleksandrivna, a foreign language teacher of the second category at the Oksana Meshko Starosanzharska Gymnasium, focused on the availability of modern methodological developments and creative approaches during the defense of qualification papers.
According to the examination committee’s decision, all applicants successfully passed the final certification. This stage was the final stage of master’s training at the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology, which demonstrates their professional maturity, scientific competence, and readiness for independent work in teaching, philology, linguistics, translation, and literary studies.
