Defense of Qualification Works

Exams and defense of qualification works were held at the Department of Musical Art and Choreography.

On January 13, 14 and 16, the defense of master’s theses in the specialty “Musical Art” was held at Poltava Children’s Music School No. 1. During three days, exams were taken in the following specializations: “Folk Instruments” (guitar, accordion, accordion), “Orchestra-String Instruments” (violin), “Orchestra-Wind and Percussion Instruments”, “Piano”, “Choral Conducting”, “Vocals” (academic singing and pop singing).

The head of the commission was Anatolii Nasmenchuk, Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine, director of the I. P. Kotliarevskyi Hadiatskyi Professional College of Culture and Arts. The permanent members of the commission also included the head of the Department of Musical Art and Choreography Eduard Holovasych and the deputy director of the ER IA for academic work Rostyslav Pidpalyi.

The defense took place in several stages: first, the master’s students performed three compositions prepared for the performance and performed the works one by one. After that, the examination committee discussed the master’s performances and results. They especially noted the high level of knowledge of the following students: Valerii Burbak, Alina Syniagovska, Zoia Tsybulnyk, Vadym Misko, Maria Tikhonova, Iryna Mykolenko, Vitalii Derevianka. In addition to the exams, defenses of final qualification works were also held.
