Composer of the Film about Symonenko

January 8 marked the 90th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Poltava poet, journalist, and 60-year-old Vasyl Symonenko.

On this day, the award and first place were presented to the creators of the documentary film about Vasyl Symonenko. The event took place in the village of Biivtsi, Lubny district, where Vasyl’s house-museum, in which he was born, still stands.

The award was won by Poltava director, graduate of the specialty “Fine Arts, Decorative and Applied Arts, Restoration” of the Institute of Arts Denis Zozulia for his documentary film “Love and Hate”. And the music for the film was written by a student majoring in “Musical Art” of Institute of Arts Yelyzaveta Melnyk.

Also Oleksandr Kalashnyk, a lecturer of the Department of Audiovisual Art, director of the Poltava-DOK festival, Denis’s teacher in cinematic art, was present at the event.
