Studying at the Institute of Arts opens up a wide range of employment opportunities.

  • Audio-visual techniques and media production (Media ptresenter): TV reporter, TV announcer and presenter, TV programme editor, assistant TV director, cameraman, TV producer, advertiser, head/employee of news agencies, head/employee of online publications.
  • Music and performing arts (Choreography): head of a folk (modern, ballroom) dance ensemble in culture and leisure centres, children’s and youth creativity, out-of-school art institutions; choreographer in cultural institutions, art institutions of state and private ownership; teacher at art universities (master’s degree only).
  • Music and performing arts (academic vocal, pop vocal, choral conducting, piano, orchestral folk instruments, orchestral string instruments, orchestral wind and percussion instruments): specialist of concert institutions – artist of a symphony orchestra, artist of a pop-symphony orchestra, artist of a chamber orchestra, artist of a folk instruments orchestra, artist of a brass band, concertmaster, vocalist (chamber), vocalist (pop); teacher of music schools, art schools, music schools and colleges; music director of cultural institutions, art institutions of state and private ownership; teacher of art universities (master’s degree only).
  • Fine arts (fine arts, Handicrafts (Decorative and applied arts): designer at production facilities, studios, workshops; teacher of specialised disciplines in art institutions of secondary specialised education – art schools, technical schools; specialist in ceramics, artistic metal processing at art and industrial enterprises; jeweller; teacher of art universities (master’s degree only).
  • Secondary education. Musical art: teacher of musical art, artistic culture, ethics and aesthetics in secondary schools, gymnasiums, lyceums; teacher of specialised disciplines in out-of-school educational institutions (children’s music schools, children’s art schools); head of music clubs in centres of children’s and youth creativity.
  • Secondary education. Fine arts: teacher of fine arts in secondary schools, gymnasiums, lyceums; head of art clubs in centres of children’s and youth creativity; teacher of non-specialised higher education institutions (master’s degree only);
  • Fashion, interior and industrial design (Graphic design): graphic designer, multimedia designer, packaging designer, specialist in computer graphics (design); university lecturer. Assistant (only for Master’s degree).

Scientific activity

Scientific activity is one of the leading areas of work of the teaching staff of the Educational and Research Institute of Arts. The main vectors of scientific work are the organisation of scientific conferences and seminars at regional, national and international levels; the publication of scientific publications, preparation and defence of candidate and doctoral dissertations on the problems of art history and pedagogy; scientific work with students and undergraduates.

The Institute organises and conducts All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conferences «Actual problems of training specialists in the field of fine and decorative arts» (Department of Fine and Decorative Arts), «Formula of Creativity: Theory and Methods of Art Education» (Department of Design), «Art and Science» (Department of Audiovisual Arts) and the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Art Education in the Context of Globalisation and Multiculturalism» (Department of Music and Choreography). Teachers actively implement the results of their research into the educational process.
