Designer Olympiad

I stage of the Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Design was finalized on February 25.
“This year subject was “We are Ukrainians”. The works were dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
Olympiad objective: detection, selection and support of talented students, development and implementation of their skills, creative work promotion of students and educative staff, improvement in quality of specialist training, stepping up of educative activity, improvement of education process and participant selection for II stage of Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Design.
Olympiad included the following tasks:
for students from “Graphic Design”:
To make the best symbol, emblem (monochrome and colored variants) or poster on the subject “We are Ukrainians”.
for students from “Interior Design”:
- To perform project of any purpose interior part (room, museum or café, restaurant, lobby of theater, etc.) or to create a solid model of interior part or one-three items of hand-made decoration.
Participant were allowed to choose a technique (hand graphic (watercolor, gouache, acrylic, ink, pen, markers, pencils) or different materials (wood, fabric, foam, glass, leather, beads, thread, cardboard, colored paper, clay, plasticine, etc) and technical means or with applying computer technologies). Work format was sheet of A3.
19 students took part in the Olympiad. Judges defined the winners according to competition results.

2 place — Olesia Virchenko, 1 DGR (60 scores)

1 place — Anhelyna Hubska, 3DIN (70 scores)
2 place — Kateryna Zaika, 2DIN (65 scores)
2 place — Anastasiia Neskhovaiko, 3DIN (65 scores)
3 place — Yana Rusinova, 3DIN (63 scores)
3 place — Viktoriia Voishevych, 4 DIN (63 scores)
