Reporting and Electoral Assembly of the Luhansk Regional Branch of the NOC of Ukraine

On May 15, the 12th Reporting and Election Assembly of the head of the Luhansk Regional Branch of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine (NOC) was held in Kyiv.

The Rector of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Olena Karaman, supported the candidacy of Viktor Vasylovych Ostretsov, expressing gratitude for the cooperation with the university, the development of physical culture and the Olympic movement of the Luhansk region.

The director of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports Oleksandr Dubovoi was awarded a certificate of appreciation from the president of the NOC of Ukraine Vadym Gutzait for his significant contribution to the development of the Olympic movement, as well as the teacher of the Department of Olympic and Professional Sports Oleksandr Doroshenko was awarded a certificate for his significant personal contribution to the development and popularization of physical culture and sports of Ukraine, conscientious work, professionalism and support of the trade union movement in the field of sports from the head of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Sportsmen of Physical Culture and Sports Workers, Youth Policy and National Patriotic Education, S.S. Bryzov.

The event was attended by Olympic champion Vadym Gutzait – Minister of Youth and Sports, Chairman of the NOC of Ukraine; Artem Lysohor – head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration – head of the Regional Military Administration; People’s Deputy of Ukraine Maksym Tkachenko; Natalia Kovalenko – executive director of the NOC of Ukraine; Serhii Byzov – head of the “All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Athletes, Physical Culture and Sports Workers, Youth Policy and National-Patriotic Education”; as well as Olga Bryzgina – three-time Olympic champion and silver medalist of the Olympic Games, Oleksandr Shaparenko – two-time Olympic champion and silver medalist of the Olympic Games, Iryna Yanovych – bronze medalist of the Olympic Games, ViKtoria Tereshchuk – bronze medalist of the Olympic Games, and as the organizers of the event noted, “many friends , because we are one big FAMILY”!
