Online meeting with representatives of the ER IPP

An online meeting with representatives of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology took place in the Starobilsk Professional College of LTSNU.

A wide range of personal problems arise during emergencies. How to preserve mental health, what are effective self-regulation techniques, what methods of psychosocial support in emergency situations exist – all these issues were found out with college students.

Thus, on April 18, an online meeting with representatives of Psychology Department, the Department of Special and Inclusive Education; as well as the Center for Psychological Recovery and Adaptation of the ER IPP of LTSNU  was held at the separate structural subdivision “Starobilsk Professional College of LTSNU”.

“Ways of maintaining mental health during an emergency” is the leading topic of the meeting. Tetiana Pashko demonstrated to the students the main factors influencing the emergency situation and types of stress reactions. Psychological state and mental health during military operations are extremely important. Many people experience exhaustion, devastation, fatigue, anxiety and panic. Tetiana Fedotova formulated useful tips on how to control yourself in critical situations and demonstrated in practice how to help yourself and your loved ones maintain a healthy mental state.

Iryna Makarenko emphasized the importance of psychological support for persons with special needs in emergency situations. Creating conditions for their adaptation will contribute to the preservation of not only their mental health, but also the maintenance of the social and psychological well-being of our country’s society in general.

Students of the Starobilsk Professional College will be able to use the acquired knowledge in their own lives and in their professional activities in the future.
