A gift from The LEGO Foundation

The Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology received a gift from The LEGO Foundation as part of its participation in the project.

Teachers of the Department of Philological Disciplines (MariIa Pochinkova, Kateryna Kovalenko) and the Department of Preschool and Primary Education (Svitlana Bader, Karina Borysenko) take part in the project.

Within the project “Promotion of Education” (Memorandum between the Ministry of Education and Culture and The LEGO Foundation), teachers were invited to learn about the Swedish program of social and emotional development of preschool children Peppy Pals, which is based on scientific research, empirical and theoretical knowledge of social and emotional intelligence. The content of the concept is based on the methods of the independent research organization CASEL – Collaborative Association for Social and Emotional Learning, as well as on the works of Bodil Wennberg, a well-known psychologist in the field of emotional intelligence.

Thanks to this cooperation with The LEGO Foundation in Ukraine, we received a valuable gift – modern visual and methodological resources (sets of toys and books for working with preschoolers) for the implementation of the “Peppy Pals” Program.
