Science Days at the Department of World History and International Relations

On April 21, the traditional annual Science Days were held at the Department of World History and International Relations of the Educational and Research Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences.
Student scientific readings took place within the framework of two sections: “World history and source studies of political history” (head of the section – Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Ihor Mikhalskyi), “Actual problems of international relations” (the head of the section was the head of the Department, Doctor of Political Sciences Olena Balatska).
The head of the Department, Olena Balatska, gave an opening speech, emphasizing the importance of student scientific research for the formation of future specialists.
Teachers students, master’s and postgraduate students took part in the event. During the meeting of the section on international relations, the problems of Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine, armed conflicts, changes in the geopolitical balance of forces, information policy in the conditions of modern security challenges were raised. Historians discussed topics devoted to the history of medieval Europe, the reforms of King Stanislaus August Poniatowski, the works of Joseph Flavius, and the figure of Joseph Buzek.
