Meeting of the Supervisory Council of LTSNU

On April 21, a meeting of the Supervisory Council of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University was held in Kyiv.

The meeting was chaired by Oleksii Dniprov, the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, and with the participation of the Head of the Academic Council of the University Vitalii Kurylo, and the Rector Olena Karaman.

The Supervisory Council of the university was created and functions in accordance with Art. 37 of the Law on Higher Education. The current composition of the Supervisory Council was approved in 2015 and includes representatives of authorities, scientific community, public and business structures.

All members of the Supervisory Council were present at the meeting: Oleksii Dniprov – Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine (Chairman); Yurii Klymenko – Colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine, Deputy Chairman of the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration (Deputy Chairman); Serhii Lizanets – Founder of the Joint-Stock Company “Closed Undiversified Venture Corporate Investment Kailas Foundation (Secretary), Aliev Elin Ali Ogly – Director of ELIT-OIL LLC, Yurii Zhuravlyov – Adviser of Agroton PJSC, Vasyl Kremen – President of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine; Oleg Shevchuk – Ukrainian entrepreneur, public and political figure.

Honorary doctors of LTSNU became members of the Supervisory Council: Petro Kulikov – Rector of Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, Chairman of the NGO “Union of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine”; Rostom Nakashidze – Honorary Consul of Ukraine in the city of Batumi (Georgia).
