Science Days-2023 at the Department of Algebra and System Analysis
21.4.2023
On April 21, the Department of Algebra and System Analysis held Science Days online using the Google Meet platform.
At the beginning of the event, the director of the Educational and Research Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies, Ph.D., Associate Professor Hennadii Mohylnyi and the head of the Department of Algebra and System Analysis, Ph.D., Professor Yurii Zhuchok.
The Science Days were held in the form of a scientific seminar, in which all participants of the educational process took part: teachers and students as well as master’s and postgraduate students.
The first to present their reports “Verbal Congruences on a Free Trioid” and “Automorphisms of the Category of Free Finitely Generated Demonoids” were the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, Professor, Ph.D. Anatolii Zhuchok and, respectively, Professor Yurii Zhuchok, after which a lively scientific discussion arose.
Among the master’s students majoring in Secondary Education (Mathematics), Iryna Galik presented the results of her qualification work “Digitalization of School Mathematics Education”. At the end of the event, the excellent report “On demonoids of the Second Order” was presented by the second-year bachelor’s student Yevhen Kuriachyi, specialty “Secondary Education (Mathematics. Physics)”.
The teachers were satisfied with Yevhen’s report and noted his abilities in the field of mathematics. At the end of the meeting, the teachers of the Department of Algebra and System Analysis announced the beginning of the 12th Student Olympiad in Algebra, dedicated to the memory of professor and outstanding scientist Vitalii Mykhailovych Usenko.
We express our gratitude to everyone who participated in the event and demonstrated the results of their research. Let the exchange of scientific knowledge stimulate young scientists to further research in the field of mathematics.
