Meeting as part of the Science Days

On April 13, a meeting of the Department of Public Service and Management of Educational and Social Institutions was held within the Science Days.

A meeting of the Department of Public Service and Management of Educational and Social Institutions of the Educational and Research Institute of Public Management, Administration and Postgraduate Education, timed to the Science Days, took place.

During the meeting, the competitive developments of master’s students majoring in 281 “Public Management and Administration” were discussed and recommended for participation in the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works “Personality – Society – War: Socio-Political, Psychological, Socio-Cultural Aspects”:

– Krystyna Galai (scientific supervisor – Professor T.V. Sych). The topic of the work “Involvement of Ukrainian youth in participation in public life and decision-making processes in the context of European integration and reform of vocational education (on the example of the implementation of the European program “EU4Skills”),

– Nataliia Bondarenko (scientific supervisor – Associate Professor N.S. Vasynova). The topic of the work is “Volunteering as an important component of the social activity of young people in the conditions of war.”

The Acting Head of the Department, Professor Tetiana Sych outlined the main directions of the development of the department’s scientific activity in 2023, emphasized the need to involve students in the department’s scientific research and participation in international scientific events.

The Associate Professor Yevhen Ivanov reported on the analysis results of the global experience of master’s training in public management and administration in leading universities and higher education institutions of the USA and Europe, and also shared his own experience of working as the head of the educational and methodological commission and introduced the typical comments of experts to educational programs accredited at the university in 2022-2023 academic year. This information caused a lively discussion in the process of discussing the need to make changes to educational programs.

The attention was also focused on the forming the contingent of master’s courses for 2023-2024. The Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Public Management, Administration and Postgraduate Education, Professor Volodymyr Zablotskyi, outlined the main mechanisms of attracting future applicants during the admissions campaign.

Among other things, the manual “Fundamentals of Democracy” compiled by Ye.V. Ivanov was recommended for publication; organizational issues of the department’s work were considered.
