Defense of the dissertation in mathematics

Alla Lutsenko, a postgraduate student of our university, defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in specialty 111 – “Mathematics”.
On April 19, a postgraduate student majoring in 111 – “Mathematics” Alla Lutsenko defended her dissertation “Quasigroups with Reversibility Properties” for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics.
The defense took place in the city of Lubny, Poltava region, where the administrative building of the university is now located. Yurii Zhuchok, chairman of the one-time Specialized Academic Council, head of the Department of Algebra and System Analysis, Ph.D., Professor, gave an opening speech, who spoke about the availability of all necessary documents for the defense of the acquisition. Next, Alla Lutsenko presented the main results of her dissertation, the main purpose of which is to study the properties of quasigroups with reversibility properties. After the presentation, a scientific discussion took place, council members asked questions and expressed their own assessments. In particular, the graduate student’s supervisor, Fedir Sokhatskyi, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Vasyl Stus Donetsk National University, noted the value of the obtained work results and personal qualities of the postgraduate student.
The opponents were well-known mathematicians in Ukraine: Volodymyr Shchedryk, Ph.D.-M.Sc., leading researcher of the Ya.S. Pidstryhach Institute for Applied Problems of Mechanics and Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Volodymyr Derech, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Vinnytsia Technical University, as well as Oleg Romaniv, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
All opponents noted that the dissertation is a completed scientific work in which new scientifically based results were obtained. The reviewer Yuliia Zhuchok reported that Alla Lutsenko’s dissertation work has important theoretical significance and can be applied in other fields of science. At the end of the meeting, a public discussion of the dissertation took place. Anatolii Zhuchok, Ph.D., Professor, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, also gave a positive assessment of the dissertation. The postrgraduate student thanked for the opportunity to defense her work at such a difficult time and the help in organizing this event.
Based on the voting results of the one-time Specialized Academic Council, a decision was made to award Alla Lutsenko with the scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy in specialty 111 – “Mathematics”. We congratulate Alla on this event and wish her every success in the future!
