The guest lecture “Luhansk Nature Reserve – as a Unique Natural Territory, an Important Nature Conservation and Scientific Institution of the Southeast of Ukraine”.
As part of the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement with the Luhansk Nature Reserve of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, on April 19, 2023, a guest online lecture was held for students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
The guest speaker was Moroz Vadym Anatoliiovych, a researcher of the Luhansk Nature Reserve of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, who spoke about the structure, work and functions of the reserve.
The scientist’s report was accompanied by unique photos of areas of the nature conservation facility with representatives of rare and endangered species, flora and fauna.
It should be noted that for more than a year, absolutely all branches of the Luhansk Nature Reserve have been under Russian occupation, and the state of the nature conservation facility today is uncontrolled by its employees and, moreover, is exposed to the destructive influence of military operations. Despite these circumstances, the Luhansk Nature Reserve continues its work in evacuation and invites students of the faculty majoring in “Secondary education. Biology and Human Health”, “Secondary Education. Geography”, “Biology”, “Ecology”, “Forestry”, “Horticulture” for educational and industrial practice in a distance format.
The lecture was organized on the initiative of the Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology.
We are sincerely grateful to Vadym Anatoliiovych Moroz for a meaningful and interesting lecture, and to the director of the Luhansk Nature Reserve of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine – Larisa Pavlivna Borovyk for fruitful cooperation and organization of a useful and professional meeting, and we hope for further fruitful cooperation!
