High state awards of powerlifters

Leading Ukrainian athletes and coaches were awarded high state awards.

On April 13, 2023, on the instructions of the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Vadym Gutzait, State Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Oleksii Perevezentsev presented high state awards to leading Ukrainian athletes and coaches.

For a significant personal contribution to the development of physical culture and sports of Ukraine, achievement of high sports results, professionalism and dedication to the cause, Kramatorsk sportsmen, a graduate and a student of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University were awarded the following awards: 

  • Oleksii Bychkov – champion of the XI World Powerlifting Games, Merited Master of Sports of Ukraine in powerlifting, graduate of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports, specialty 017 “Physical Culture and Sports” was awarded the Order of Merit, III degree;
  • Volodymyr Rysev – the champion of the XI World Powerlifting Games, Merited Master of Sports of Ukraine in Powerlifting, a first-year student of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports, specialty 017 “Physical Culture and Sports” was awarded the Order of Merit, II degree.
