“Literature in Multicultural Discourse”

The Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Literature held the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Literature in Multicultural Discourse”.
On April 6, 2023, the Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Literature of our university, together with the Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Literature and Teaching Methods of Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University, held the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Literature in Multicultural Discourse”.
The organizing committee of the conference received many applications from scientists and education seekers from Ukraine and China. Artem Halych (doctor of philological sciences, professor, dean of the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Journalism of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University), Victoria Dmytrenko (doctor of philological sciences, professor, dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Luhansk National University), Nataliya Hrytsak (Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University), Olga Kryzhanovska (Doctor of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Ukrainian and foreign literature of the “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”). Those present honored the memory of the doctor of philological sciences, professor Oleksandr Andriyovych Halych, who from 1998 to 2015 headed the departments of Ukrainian literature and literary theory, and comparative studies at our university.
The conference was moderated by Dmytro Pomazan, a senior laboratory assistant at the Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Literature.
The conference opened with a plenary session, at which the reports of Boris Shalaginov («National University of «Kyiv-Mohyla Academy»), Natalia Yugan (Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design), Svitlana Negodyaeva (State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”), Kateryna Bilobrovskaia (“Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University”) and Olga Kryzhanovskaia (State institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”).
More than 150 participants of the conference took part in the work of the sections “Multicultural Discourse of Modern Literary Studies”, “Methodology of Teaching Literature in a Multicultural Space”, “Documentary Studies and Memoirs: Multicultural Dimension”.
Conference participants received certificates. Based on the results of the conference, it is planned to publish a collection of scientific publications.
