Visit of the Head of the Poltava Administration

Dmytro Lunin, head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, visited the structural subdivisions of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University in the city of Myrhorod.
On April 5, as part of a working visit, a delegation led by the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Dmytro Lunin, visited the Myrhorod community and structural subdivisions of our university, which were located from July 1, 2022, on the basis of the Myrhorod Special School of the Poltava Regional Council and other institutions.
The delegation included People’s Deputy Oleksii Ustenko, Director of the Department of Education and Science of Poltava Region Yevhen Konchakovskyi, Head of the Myrhorod District Council Natalia Hyrka, Head of the Myrhorod District Military Administration Vitalii Diakivnych, First Deputy Mayor of Myrhorod Oleksandr Ostrianin.
During the meeting, the delegation got acquainted with the exhibition of creative works of teachers and students of Brianka Professional College of LTSNU, visited the Faculty of Natural Sciences, the Educational and Research Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies, and the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business located in Myrhorod.
During the admission campaign 2022, about 600 applicants entered the structural subdivisions of the University in Myrhorod, the total number of applicants studying at the Myrhorod location is more than 2,000 people.
The guests saw the first achievements of the university’s educational subdivisions under the conditions of the second relocation. Thus, in September 2022, the Faculty of Natural Sciences concluded an agreement with the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business, and the implementation of the educational program “Agrokebety” began.
The first students, graduates of Myrhorod schools, have already received additional scholarships in the amount of 200 euros. In December, the 3rd International Scientific and Practical Conference “Natural Sciences: Projects, Research, Prospects” was held, which was attended by more than 150 participants from ten countries of the world. Cooperation with the Netherlands has begun regarding the implementation of the European “green economy” course in agricultural and natural science specialties.
In addition, the Faculty of Natural Sciences organized and held a series of charity exhibitions of the author’s photo works of faculty graduate Serhii Glotov “Colors of the White Continent”, which present unique landscapes and animal life of the Antarctic. Such exhibitions have already been held in Myrhorod and Lubny, in Gadiach (Museum of Local History) the exhibition will last until April 16.
In 2022, the Educational and Research Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies concluded three grant agreements: G-202301-69860 and G-202301-69859 with the U.S. Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF Global); with the development program of the United Nations (UNDP) within the framework of the “EU4Recovery – Community Empowerment in Ukraine” project regarding the financing of the sub-project of the creation of the Center for IT Solutions on the basis of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University in the city of Myrhorod. The IT-solutions center will become the basis for the formation of a new modern material and technical base of the university after the second relocation.
The Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business has resumed the work of the Youth Business Club, which provides new opportunities for local entrepreneurs, activates cooperation with the community, and contributes to the improvement of educational programs implemented at the institute. The teachers of the Institute are actively working on obtaining grant support.
Brianka Professional College of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University within the framework of the concluded agreements on the completion of practice with entrepreneurs of the Myrhorod district and the agreement with VET No. 44 regarding the joint use of the material and technical base received new opportunities for the implementation of its educational programs. Actively implements graduate education, involving graduates of the Technical School No. 44. Teachers and students of creative specialties of the College continue to actively implement their opportunities during participation in international and all-Ukrainian competitions, organizing exhibitions at various locations in the city of Myrhorod. Thus, in February 2023, the College organized an exhibition of works of art “And an Amulet and a Symbol of Fate…” aimed at the study and revival of folk art and traditions of our people.
Dmytro Lunin was presented with a photo with Serhii Glotov, which was taken in 2022 at the most remote point of Ukraine – the Akademik Vernadskyi Station in the Antarctic.
In addition, the guests saw Serhii Glotov’s unique photographs of Antarctic landscapes and animals, which are placed in it with the aim of improving the emotional state of schoolchildren and students during their stay in the shelter.
The university administration, teachers and students are sincerely grateful to the Poltava Regional Military Administration, the Department of Education and Science of the Poltava Region, the leadership of the Myrhorod District Council, the Myrhorod District Military Administration and the Myrhorod City Council for their strong support and the creation of conditions for the restoration and development of the university in the conditions of a full-scale Russian war against Ukraine and the second displacement.
Such support is evidence of the unity and strength of the Ukrainian people and the indomitability of Ukraine.
