Anti-fake game “NotaYenota” at the ER ICA
31.3.2023
Students of the Institute of Culture and Arts participated in the anti-fake game “NotaYenota”.
On March 28, an extremely educational event took place in the Branch Library No. 4 of the Central Library of the Poltava City Territorial Community. It was a team intellectual anti-fake game “NotaYenota”.
Already after reading the name itself, you can understand that it is about the same raccoon that the Russian occupiers stole from Kherson and also called it the “talisman of the special operation”.
This game aims to develop critical thinking, shows exactly how fakes and misinformation work, how to distinguish truth from lies. The moderator of the game was Olena Burim, trainer, teacher of the Department of Cultural Studies and Cinema and TV Arts of the ER ICA.
Students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University took part in the game and demonstrated good knowledge of the subject. Did they start selling air in cans in Sumy Oblast? Did Netflix really call Yaroslav the Wise “the ruler of northern Russia?” Students gave answers to these and other questions.
There were three teams in total: “Hvostatiki”, “Mriya” and “Raccoon”. All participants received a lot of positive emotions, sweet gifts, and new priceless knowledge as the most important thing. During four rounds, the team “Khvostatiki” was the leader. With its intellectual ideas, the team won the victory, and most importantly, freed our Raccoon from lying, of course, in the conditions of the game.
Today, people need to be told how to resist Russia’s informational aggression, to identify hostile narratives that discredit the Ukrainian state.
The Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts of LTSNU aims to teach students literacy, brevity, the ability to correctly express their opinions, to distinguish between fakes and propaganda, graduating competent, qualified specialists.
