International Scientific Conference “Enterprise and Region in Crisis”

On March 17, the International Scientific Conference entitled “Enterprise and the Region in Crisis” was held online on the Teams platform.

The organizers of the event were the University of Rzeszów (Institute of Economics and Finance of the College of Social Sciences) and the Warsaw Polytechnic (Faculty of Management).

The purpose of the conference was to discuss and exchange opinions on the development of the company and the region in modern economic conditions. The discussions took place in an international circle, where representatives of science and practice from Poland, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Romania, China, Slovakia, Lithuania, Albania and the USA shared their knowledge, experience and problems.

It should be noted that Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University fruitfully cooperates with the University of Rzeszów (Republic of Poland) and since 2017 has an agreement on scientific cooperation between the universities. 

At the invitation of Mariola Grzebyk, Ph.D., Professor of the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Rzeszów (Poland), the conference was attended by teachers of the Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business, and bachelor’s and master’s students majoring in Tourism.

During the sectional meeting, the professor of the Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Affairs, Viktor Trynchuk, presented a report in Polish, “Uwarnowania rozwoju prędzęciezzości strefy hotelarstwa, gastronomii i turystyki w Ukrainie w czasie wojny” (Conditions for the development of entrepreneurship in the hotel industry, gastronomy and tourism in Ukraine during the war ). The speech interested the participants of the scientific event and caused lively discussions.

The conference became an educational platform for exchanging ideas and results of the latest scientific research.

The Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Affairs is sincerely grateful to colleagues from the University of Rzeszów (Poland) for organizing the conference and for the opportunity to take an active part in it, and gladly accepts the offer to join joint scientific research and the preparation of publications for journals from the scientometric databases Scopus and Web of Science.
