Open lecture by Artur Aroian

The Associate Professor of the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts held an open lecture at the Poltava Regional Universal Scientific Library named after I.P. Kotliarevskyi.

On March 19,the open lecture was held by the Associate Professor of the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts, the famous Poltava architect and local historian Artur Aroian on the topic “Search and Rescue of Cultural Heritage Objects”.

This event is jointly organized by the literature and art department of the Regional Library, the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts of LTSNU and the public organization “Save Poltava”.

Many architectural Poltava regions are in a state of disrepair, and this is a cause for concern. During the lecture, the listeners learned about the problems with the Khomutek Palace of the Muravyov-Apostles Decembrists, about the house of Panas Myrny’s sister Oleksandra Rudchenko in Gadiach. Attention was also paid to the Kremenchutsk Reservoir and the picturesque Pyvikha Mountain.

In the future, a tour of Poltava is planned in the context of the topic of the lecture.
