As part of career orientation events, master’s students of the “Secondary Education (Physical Culture)” specialty, Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Education of the ER IPES held an online event for students of professional colleges.
On March 15, the Institute of Physical Education and Sports hosted an online event “Increasing the motivation of young people to engage in physical culture and sports” as part of the practical training for students of the second (master’s) level of higher education in the specialty 014.11 “Secondary Education (Physical Culture)” under the educational -professional program “Physical Culture” (guarantor of EP is Olena Otravenko, practical methodologist is Oleksandr Ochkalov). The event was held for students of the Starobilsk Professional College, Brianka Professional College, and Rubizhne Industrial and Pedagogical College.
Oleksandr Dubovoi, Director of the ER IPES, made a welcome speech. The purpose of the event is the cooperation of the ER IPES with professional colleges, exchange of experience, involvement of young people in physical culture and sports, leading a healthy lifestyle, career guidance work. The master’s students gave interesting reports: Maryna Khutrenko, with practical innovative developments: “Stem-education and physical education lesson”, “Quest-island”. Ivan Boyarchuk shared his experience of organizing and conducting classes on physical education of children and youth”, where he expressed his opinion and provided suggestions.
Nastia Gaidai touched on the problem of physical activity as an indicator of a healthy lifestyle of schoolchildren, which is very important in today’s conditions. In turn, Vladyslav Zaporozhets told how it is possible to motivate children to engage in physical education and sports.” The bachelor’s student Kyrylo Ivanov proposed introducing new types of motor activity of rugby 5 and dodgeball into the educational process of educational institutions. Kyrylo conducts experimental work specifically in the field of inclusion, with children who have visual impairments.
Students and college teachers took part in the discussion, who emphasized the importance of such events and suggested continuing the exchange of experience. We express our sincere gratitude to the directors of the colleges for the presented opportunity to undergo practice at their bases.
