Master classes on television journalism

The Department of Cultural Studies and Cinema-, TV Arts held two master classes on television journalism.
On February 27, the Poltava Regional Universal Scientific Library named after I. P. Kotlyarevskyi hosted a TV journalism master class for 11th grade pupils of Poltava Secondary School No. 10. The master class was conducted by Anatolii Mishin, a teacher of the Department of Cultural Studies and Cinema-, TV Arts, who has extensive experience working on the TV channel.
Another TV journalism master class was also held on March 6 at the Center for Culture and Leisure. Those wishing to attend the event had to sign up in advance, as the number of places was limited.
During both events, the participants learned how to conduct interviews in extreme situations in a playful way, tried to write a note and record a stand-up on camera like real TV journalists. Vlada Dudnyk and Veronika Zavertailova, third-year students majoring in “Audiovisual Art and Production” helped the teacher in conducting the master class. A consultation of future entrants regarding creative contests and admission rules was also held, which was conducted by the acting director of the ER ICA Iryna Prodan and Alona Tereshchenko, deputy director for social and humanitarian work. Each participant will receive video materials to their e-mail upon the request.
