Guest lecture

On March 7, students majoring in “Social Work” took part in an open guest lecture on “Monitoring the quality of social services in the field of child rights”.
The lecturers were the Doctor of Philosophy, Head of HIV Prevention Program among vulnerable groups of the Kharkiv Charitable Foundation “Blago”, teacher of the Department of Psychiatry, Drug, Medical Psychology and Social Work of Kharkiv National Medical University Oleksandr Mohylka and Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Social Work Department, Kharkiv Humanities and Pedagogical Academy of Kharkiv Regional Council, Olga Rasskazova.
During the event, the lecturers attracted the attention of the audience to such concepts as “right”, “child”, “protection of the child’s rights”, “monitoring”; discussed the basic rights of the child with the education applicants; identified the main purpose and key principles of monitoring the protection of the child’s rights.
An applied aspect of the lecture is the instrument of monitoring cases of violation of the child’s rights, including a screening questionnaire for social workers.
Olga Rasskazova provided information on the possibility of obtaining a certificate of advanced training on the topic of monitoring the child’s rights on the EDWAY platform, subject to a summary survey on the topic.
After the theoretical and practical material students had the opportunity to ask questions and communicate with guest lecturers.
