Open lecture at the FNS

On March 2, an open lecture on the GIS-Technology Course in Environmental Research was held at the Faculty of Natural Sciences. 

The lecture on “Application of GIS Technologies in Research of the Nature Reserve Fund of Ukraine in the Temporaryry Occupied Territories” was held for the first-year master’s students majoring in 101 “Ecology”.

The speaker was Dmytro Sopov, Doctor of Philosophy on Earth Sciences, Acting Head of the Department of Chemistry, Geography and Earth Sciences of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

Among the audience was the Academic Secretary of LTSNU Nadiia Karlova, Acting Head of the Department of Educational Activity Management Margaryta Kravchenko, Garant of Ecology of the Second (Master’s) Higher Education Iryna Kyrpychova, representatives of the Department of Chemistry, Geography and Earth Sciences of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, etc.

Higher education applicants express their deep gratitude to Mr Dmytro for up -to -date and meaningful information, which aroused considerable interest and motivated the students for further professional development.

We note that such activities are interesting and useful, both for education and teachers. We want to wish Dmytro Sopov further success in scientific and educational activities, we hope that such events will happen more often in a peaceful country.
